Knowledge Base (KB): No Audio Issue

 Yealink SmartVision 40 in Teams Meeting Room

 

1. Check Audio Device Selection

o In Microsoft Teams → Settings → Devices,

ensure the speaker and microphone are set to the Yealink SmartVision 40.

o Also verify the same under Windows Sound Settings.

2. Restart Audio Services

o Open Services (services.msc) and restart:

 Windows Audio

 Windows Audio Endpoint Builder

3. Reconnect the Device o Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable. o If possible, try a different USB port (preferably directly on the system).

4. Verify Permissions o Go to Windows Settings → Privacy → Microphone. o Ensure microphone access is enabled and allowed for Teams.

5. Test on Another System (if feasible)

o Connect the device to a different laptop and test audio input/output to rule out hardware issues.

Escalate to Tier 2 if issue persists after all Tier 1 steps.
